Phobos Appraisers App — Privacy Policy

Phobosgold Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the Phobos Appraisers App (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.
- Phone Number: Collected for authentication via SMS OTP.
- Name and Employee ID: Collected as part of your appraiser profile.
- Profile Photo: Optional, displayed in the app profile section.
1.2 Location Data
- Precise Location (GPS): Collected only during attendance check-in and check-out to verify you are at the assigned branch location. This is foreground-only — we do not track your location in the background.
- Device Token (FCM): Collected to send push notifications for service assignments and updates.
- Device Model and OS Version: Collected for compatibility and troubleshooting purposes.
1.4 Photos
- Ornament/Packet Photos: Captured using the device camera during packet appraisal for documentation and verification purposes. These photos are uploaded to our secure servers and associated with the respective appraisal record.
1.5 Usage Data
- App Interaction Data: Basic app usage events (such as screen views and feature usage) are collected via Firebase Analytics to improve app performance and user experience.
- Crash Reports: Crash logs, stack traces, and device state information are collected via Firebase Crashlytics and Sentry to identify and fix app stability issues. This data may include device model, OS version, and app version at the time of the crash.

3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Supabase: Authentication and user data storage
- Firebase (Google): Push notification delivery (Firebase Cloud Messaging), crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics), and app analytics (Firebase Analytics)
- Sentry: Crash reporting and UI error monitoring to identify and fix app stability and usability issues
- Google Play Services: Device services required for Firebase functionality
- Internal Systems: Your company’s internal appraisal management system
4. Data Retention
- Account Data: Retained as long as your employment is active.
- Location Data: Retained for 90 days for audit purposes, then deleted.
- Photos: Retained as long as the associated appraisal record exists.
- Notification Logs: Retained for 30 days.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your account and associated data
- Request account deletion by contacting us via email or through your employer/administrator
- Disable location permissions in your device settings (note: this will disable attendance features)
6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures:
- All data transmitted over HTTPS/TLS
- JWT token-based authentication
- Secure cloud infrastructure
- Regular security audits
7. Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy in the App.
